Documents businesses bring us
The question we ask before every business signing
Who is signing, and in what capacity? New York’s notary rules require us to refuse a notarial act where we are not satisfied that the record presented evidences the signer’s capacity to act as the representative.
In practice that means the person signing for a company should be able to show what authorizes them to do so, whether that is an operating agreement, a resolution or an incumbency certificate. Tell us in advance and the appointment takes minutes. Discover it at the table and it does not happen.
Built around a working day
Tell us the documents and the signers
Document types, how many signatures, how many people, and whether anybody is remote.
We come to you, or run it online
Your office, a closing, a co working space, or a secure video session for signers in other states.
Signed, checked, and back the same day
Every certificate completed correctly, because a defective one is discovered later by a bank or a county clerk.
What an on-site visit costs
One visit fee by location, plus the statutory notarial fee per signature. No minimums, no per-person charges, no surprises on the invoice.
| Far Rockaway and the Rockaways | $40 |
| Nearby Queens, Howard Beach to Jamaica | $65 |
| Brooklyn and Manhattan | $85 |
| The Bronx and Staten Island | $110 |
| Every signature notarized | $2 |
Worked example. Twelve employees sign onboarding paperwork at your Brooklyn office: $85 for the visit plus $24 in notarial fees, so $109 for the morning.
The $2 per signature is set by New York Executive Law § 136 and is the same for every notary in the state. The visit fee covers travel and time and is agreed before we come out.
After 6:30 pm add $35. After 9:00 pm add $60 instead. Weekends and holidays add $25. Documents can also be notarized online with no visit fee at all.
Volume and standing arrangements
If your firm notarizes regularly, whether that is a title company, a law office, an accountancy practice, a staffing agency or a property manager, a standing arrangement is usually cheaper and far less disruptive than booking each time. Tell us your typical volume and turnaround and we will put a standing rate in writing, usually below the per visit fees above.
We also handle Form I-9 verification for employers, apostilles for documents going overseas, and ACRIS recording.
What we do not do
We do not draft your documents, choose a form, explain what a clause means, or advise on entity structure, tax or compliance. A New York notary is prohibited from giving legal advice, and on business documents that restriction protects you. Those questions belong with your attorney or your accountant.
We also cannot certify copies. A New York notary has no authority to issue certified copies of anything, which matters when a bank or a foreign authority asks for one.
