What ID do I need to bring?

A current, unexpired, government-issued photo ID such as a driver license, state ID, passport, or military ID. Your ID must match the name on the document being signed. An expired ID is the most common reason an appointment cannot be completed, so check the date before you book.

Do you only do legal signings?

No, and this is the question we get most. Notarization is one service among many. We also handle apostille processing for documents going overseas, Form I-9 employment verification for employers, deed and document recording through ACRIS, loan signings including HELOCs and refinances, wedding officiating, and estate planning document preparation. If it involves a document that needs to be executed, filed, or authenticated, ask us.

How do I book, and how do I pay?

Book online in under a minute or call (347) 762-0262. Most appointments are confirmed the same day. Payment is due at the time of service, and documents are released after payment.

Do you offer same-day or after-hours appointments?

Yes. Same-day is often available, and we work evenings and weekends. Online notarization runs 24 hours a day with no scheduling required, so it is usually the fastest route when something is urgent.

Can you tell me which document I need, or how to fill it out?

No, and this is a legal restriction rather than a preference. A New York notary public may not give legal advice, choose a document for you, or explain a document’s legal effect. We can explain the notarization process and what a notary does. For anything about the content or consequences of your document, speak with a licensed attorney.

Can you notarize something I already signed?

Generally no. The notary has to witness your signature or administer the oath as you sign. Fill the document out completely, then leave the signature line blank until you are with the notary.

Do you really come to me?

Yes. Our mobile notary travels throughout New York City to your home, office, hospital, correctional facility, or another agreed location. A travel fee applies and is earned once we depart for the appointment.

What does a mobile notary cost?

Two separate charges: a travel fee based on your area, plus the New York notary fee of $2 per signature, which is set by state law. Travel starts at $40 in Rockaway and Far Rockaway and rises by distance to $110 for Manhattan, the Bronx, deep Brooklyn and Staten Island. Evening, late-night and weekend surcharges apply. Is remote online notarization legal?

Yes. Remote Online Notarization uses secure video, identity verification, and credential analysis, and it is authorized under New York Executive Law. You will need a device with a camera, a stable internet connection, and a valid photo ID.

Do I have to be in New York to notarize online?

No. You can be located anywhere in the United States. We are commissioned in New York and perform the act under New York law, which is widely accepted across the country. Confirm that the party receiving your document accepts remote online notarization before you book. Start at the online notary page.

What does online notarization cost?

$25 for the first document, $15 for documents two through seven, and $10 for document eight and beyond. Additional signers are $15 each and a witness is $15 if your document requires one. Ten documents comes to $145. New York caps electronic notarization at $25 per notarial act, inclusive of all costs, and we never charge above it.

Can more than one person be on the call?

Yes. Additional signers can join from anywhere in the country on their own device, and each completes their own identity verification. An attorney, advisor or family member can also attend while you sign. Tell us in advance so we can add them to the session.

What do I get back after an online notarization?

Your document is returned with a tamper-evident digital certificate applied, so any later change to the file breaks the seal. A certificate of authenticity and audit trail is attached showing the notary’s commission details, the time of the act, and the identity verification steps completed. The session is recorded and retained as New York requires.

Do you offer apostille services?

Yes, end to end. We notarize your document, file it with the state for apostille, and ship it back to you securely. You never visit a government office. See the apostille service page.

Do I have to be in New York to get an apostille through you?

No. The notarization is done online by secure video, so you can be anywhere in the United States. We handle the state filing and the return shipping from here. What matters is that the document is a New York document or can be notarized under New York law, not where you happen to be sitting.

Do all signers have to be in the same place for the apostille process if there are multiple signers?

No. Signers do not need to be in the same room, the same state, or even the same country. Each additional signer is added to the same remote online notarization session and joins by video from wherever they are. Every signer needs a stable internet connection and a working camera and microphone, on a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop. If a signer is outside the United States, New York law requires them to confirm during the recorded session that the document relates to a matter, entity or property connected to the United States, which covers most apostille work. Once everyone has signed and the session is complete, the document moves through the rest of the apostille process as normal.

What does an apostille cost?

$199 flat, covering remote notarization, state filing and secure return shipping. Rush service is +$100 and requires the order to be placed before 10:00 AM Eastern. Each additional document is +$50. Both are selected at checkout.

How long does an apostille take?

Typically 3 to 7 business days from notarization to delivery. Government processing times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Rush service moves your submission to the same day when filing capacity allows.

What documents can be apostilled?

Common ones are birth and marriage certificates, diplomas and transcripts, powers of attorney, business contracts, and court-issued estate records. Private documents like a contract need to be notarized first; state-issued records often do not. What if the country is not in the Hague Convention?

You receive a Certificate of Authentication instead of an apostille, which often needs a further certification from the U.S. Department of State and sometimes consular legalization. See apostille vs certificate of authentication.

Can you handle I-9 verification for my company?

Yes. We act as your Authorized Representative and complete Form I-9 Section 2 for both employers and individual employees. We do not determine employment eligibility or provide immigration advice. Details on the I-9 verification page.

Can Section 2 be completed remotely?

It depends on one thing: whether your company is enrolled in E-Verify. Employers enrolled in E-Verify and in good standing may use the DHS alternative procedure, which permits document review over live video, and we can do that for a hire anywhere in the country. Employers not enrolled must have someone examine the original documents in person, and we travel to your new hire anywhere in the five boroughs. There is no third option. See E-Verify vs Form I-9.

What does I-9 verification cost?

$65 per employee, or $225 for a five-pack at $45 each with priority scheduling. Same-hour rush verification is $95. Reverification under Supplement B is $45, and an I-9 audit and compliance review of up to 25 files is $199.

When is Section 2 due?

Within three business days of the employee’s first day of work. Section 1 is due by the end of their first day. See the three-day rule.

Should we get our I-9 files audited?

In March 2026 ICE reclassified more than ten common I-9 errors from technical to substantive, removing the ten-day window to correct them. Substantive errors are fineable immediately at $288 to $2,861 per form. Correcting problems before a Notice of Inspection is the only remaining way to address them without penalty exposure. Can you help me record a deed?

Yes. We handle deed, mortgage and instrument recording through ACRIS from intake to confirmation, including transfer tax forms and follow-up with the clerk. Pricing starts at $350 plus government fees. See the document recording page.

Do you do loan signings, HELOCs and refinances?

Yes. We are an NNA-certified Notary Signing Agent, annually background screened, and handle closings, refinances, HELOCs and reverse mortgages. Call (347) 762-0262 to arrange one.

Do you prepare wills and trusts?

We provide document preparation services and notarization for last wills and testaments, revocable living trusts, health care proxies and powers of attorney. We are not attorneys and cannot advise you on what your documents should say. Start at the estate planning center.

Does a small estate affidavit need to be notarized?

Yes. In New York the Affidavit of Voluntary Administration is sworn, so it must be signed in front of a notary with a proper jurat before you file it with the Surrogate’s Court. Do not sign it early. See the full answer, or start with the New York small estate guide.

Can a small estate affidavit transfer a house?

No. If the person who died owned real property in their name alone, it is not a small estate at all and a probate or administration proceeding is required instead. Property owned jointly is the exception. Full explanation here.

Do you handle small estates outside New York?

Do you officiate weddings?

Yes, across New York City. Packages run from a $99 legal signing through City Hall ceremonies and full elopement experiences with photography. Dates are confirmed within 24 hours or fully refunded. You must already have a valid New York marriage license, and there is a mandatory 24-hour waiting period after it is issued. See wedding officiant services.

Do you have free document templates?

Yes, and they are genuinely free. Among them: a child travel consent letter, an authorization letter to release a vehicle from an impound lot, a general affidavit, an affidavit of residence, a one and the same person affidavit, the DS-3053 passport consent form, and an immigration support letter. Most can be notarized online right after you download them.

My car was towed. What do I actually need?

An NYPD tow pound releases a vehicle only to the registered owner, their spouse, or an authorized representative carrying written authorization with the notarized signature of the registered owner. Do you work with government agencies?

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations may be rescheduled within 14 calendar days of the original appointment. After 14 days a new booking is required. Once travel has begun, the mobile travel fee is non-refundable. If we cannot cover a requested time, you receive a full refund.
