Refund & Cancellation Policy

At NotarEaseNYC, we reserve appointment times, allocate resources, perform administrative work, and often begin service preparation immediately after a booking is confirmed. Please review this Refund and Cancellation Policy carefully before purchasing any service or product. By booking an appointment, purchasing a service, or purchasing a product from NotarEaseNYC, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
All Sales Are Final
Unless otherwise required by law, all sales are final. No refunds shall be issued for completed services, mobile notary services, Remote Online Notarization (RON) services, apostille services, wedding officiant services, I-9 verification services, administrative services, consultation services, digital products, educational products, downloadable products, service packages, client errors, government processing delays, shipping carrier delays, or third-party delays. Any exception to this policy shall be granted solely at the discretion of NotarEaseNYC and shall not establish any obligation to issue future refunds.
Appointment Cancellations
Clients may cancel an appointment before the scheduled appointment time. However, cancellation of an appointment does not automatically entitle the client to a refund. Because appointment slots are reserved exclusively for each client, administrative work, scheduling, preparation, and other business resources may have already been allocated.
Missed Appointments and No-Shows
Clients who fail to attend a scheduled appointment shall be considered a no-show. No refunds shall be issued for missed appointments or no-shows. At the discretion of NotarEaseNYC, a client may be permitted one reschedule within fourteen (14) calendar days of the original appointment date. After fourteen (14) days, any unused appointment shall be considered forfeited and a new booking and payment will be required.
Mobile Notary Travel Fees
Travel fees are non-refundable once travel has commenced. Travel fees compensate NotarEaseNYC for travel time, mileage, fuel costs, vehicle expenses, administrative expenses, and reserved scheduling time. Travel fees remain earned and non-refundable even if the signer is unavailable, is late, refuses to sign, changes their mind, lacks proper identification, lacks required documents, or the notarization cannot be completed due to client-related circumstances.
Remote Online Notarization (RON)
No refunds shall be issued when a Remote Online Notarization session cannot be completed due to failure to pass identity verification, failure to pass credential analysis, invalid identification, technical issues on the client's device, internet connectivity issues on the client's side, failure to provide required documents, or failure to follow platform requirements. A new appointment and payment may be required.
Apostille Services
Apostille processing times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. NotarEaseNYC does not control County Clerk, State agency, Federal agency, Embassy, Consular, or shipping carrier processing times. No refunds shall be issued due to government delays, backlogs, agency closures, document rejection by government agencies, lost or delayed mail, shipping delays, or incomplete or incorrect documents provided by the client. Once apostille processing has begun, all fees are non-refundable.
Wedding Officiant Services
Wedding dates and ceremony times are reserved exclusively for each couple. Because NotarEaseNYC may decline other bookings for the reserved date and time, all wedding-related payments, deposits, retainers, and reservation fees are non-refundable. No refunds shall be issued if the couple cancels, postpones, fails to appear, lacks a valid marriage license, or if the ceremony cannot proceed due to circumstances within the couple's control.
I-9 Verification Services
No refunds shall be issued if the employee presents unacceptable documents, required documentation is unavailable, the employer rejects submitted documentation, employment is denied, or employment eligibility cannot be verified. NotarEaseNYC acts solely as an Authorized Representative and does not determine employment eligibility.
Digital Products
All digital products are final sale. Due to the nature of downloadable and electronically delivered products, no refunds, returns, exchanges, or credits shall be issued once access has been granted or delivery has occurred.
Corrections Policy
If an error is caused directly by NotarEaseNYC during a notarization, a correction appointment may be provided at no additional charge. Clients may be required to provide clean replacement documents, valid identification, and supporting documentation. Corrections do not apply to client-requested changes, revised documents, or errors originating from third-party document preparation.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Clients agree to contact NotarEaseNYC before initiating a chargeback, payment reversal, ACH dispute, bank dispute, or credit card dispute. NotarEaseNYC reserves the right to contest any chargeback involving services that were scheduled, reserved, initiated, delivered, partially performed, completed, downloaded, or otherwise made available, using available transaction and service records. Fraudulent or bad-faith chargebacks may be contested to the fullest extent permitted by law.
